By accessing this website or purchasing from Hanming Studio ("we," "us," "our"), you ("you," "the customer") agree to the following terms.
1. Nature of our service — please read
Hanming Studio provides personalised Chinese names, related keepsakes, and metaphysical-inspired content (including five-element and BaZi interpretations) rooted in traditional Chinese cultural practices. Our services are offered for personal enrichment, cultural appreciation, and enjoyment.
2. No guarantee of outcomes
Our names, readings, and products are not a promise or guarantee of luck, fortune, wealth, health, success, or any specific result. Nothing we provide constitutes professional medical, psychological, financial, legal, or other regulated advice, and it should not be relied upon as such. You are responsible for your own decisions.
3. "As-is" and subjective nature
Chinese naming and metaphysical interpretation are inherently subjective and interpretive. Our services and products are provided "as is," and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
4. Personalised, made-to-order goods
Our products are custom-made to your specifications and information. Because work begins specifically for you, orders cannot be cancelled once composition has begun, and personalised items are not eligible for return except as required by law or as offered under our Refund & Revision Policy (which includes complimentary revisions to help you love your name).
5. Accuracy of your information
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information (name, spelling, birth details). We are not liable for results arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or misspelled information you submit, and re-work due to customer error may incur a fee.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services or products shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant order. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
7. Intellectual property
All designs, templates, calligraphy treatments, branding, and content on this website are the property of Hanming Studio and are protected by law. Upon purchase, you receive a personal, non-commercial license to use your individual name keepsake. You may not resell, redistribute, or use our deliverables or content for commercial purposes without written permission.
8. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or have the consent of a parent/guardian) to purchase.
9. Privacy
Personal information, including birth details, is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. It is used solely to create your order and is not sold to third parties.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, without prejudice to any non-excludable consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.
11. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. The version posted at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
12. Severability & entire agreement
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These terms, together with our Privacy, Refund, and Shipping policies, form the entire agreement between us.
